  1. Pavillon de Taillefer, Saint-Emilon Grand Cru I Château Vieux Taillefer

    This is our main cuvee and not a declassified wine of Château Vieux Château Taillefer as is often presumed. Pavillon de Taillefer is a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, selective care is taken in the Vineyard resulting in very low yields. Annual production of Pavillon de Taillefer is 25.000 bottles. Aged in oak for 12 months, this lip-smacking St. Emilion can be enjoyed young, but has the potential to age and improve for another 10-15 years. Lees verder

  2. Saint-Emilion Grand Cru I Château Vieux Taillefer

    Ideally located on limestone soil in the commune of St.Cristophe des Bardes near Saint-Emilion , cuvée Vieux Taillefer, is produced from a one hectare parcel. All work in the Vineyard is performed manually and the production is 100% organic. The average age of the all-Merlot wines is an impressive 75 years. The age of the vines combined with a strict selection process during harvest time result in very low yields with an annual production of no more than 2.500 bottles. Aged in new French oak barriques for 18 months the style is full bodied and rich with an impressive freshness. Available in several Michelin star restaurants across Europe, it can be enjoyed now, but will benefit from extended cellaring over the next decade or two. Lees verder
